American
Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA)
This website has quite a bit of information about ISO 17025 among
other things.
The
ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board is the U.S.
accreditation body for management systems. ANAB accredits certification
bodies (CBs) for ISO 9001 quality management systems (QMS) and
ISO 14001 environmental management systems (EMS), as well as a
number of industry-specific requirements.
Note: Some companies have been deceived by "registrars"
who are not accredited and cannot really register you to ISO 9000.
Check out your registrar and make sure it is accredited in the
US at this site.
Association
of British Certification Bodies (ABCB).
This link is to a workbook for ISO 9000 2000 available for no
charge. Print it out to use as a general introduction to ISO 9001:2000.
Permission to print and distribute the workbook is given on the
front page.

Society for Quality
This is an important site for all quality
professionals. You can order your copy of the ISO
9001:2000 Standard here.
BSI, Inc.
Check out the information at /Quality/index. There is some
good information and articles including how to select a consultant.

is private organization that provides the regulated Bio/Pharmaceutical
industry with information on how to improve quality and comply
with FDA and other regulations. Starting from serving laboratories
the scope has been expanded to other areas like manufacturing

Register Quality Assurance (LRQA)
Visit LRQA, and go to the publications page. This is one of the
sites that we have found keeping current with their publications.
The latest
publications does a good job covering the Quality Management Principals,
important reading if you are proceeding to implement ISO 9001:2000.
