American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA)
This website has quite a bit of information about ISO 17025 among other things.

The ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board is the U.S. accreditation body for management systems. ANAB accredits certification bodies (CBs) for ISO 9001 quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 14001 environmental management systems (EMS), as well as a number of industry-specific requirements. Note: Some companies have been deceived by “registrars” who are not accredited and cannot really register you to ISO 9001. Check out your registrar and make sure it is accredited in the US at this site. NOTE:

Association of British Certification Bodies (ABCB).
The originally named Association of Certification Bodies was founded in 1984 in response to a UK Government request that certification bodies should work together to provide a collective input to the newly established National Accreditation Council for Certification Bodies (NACCB). In 1992 the Association adopted its current title and was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in 1996. It is recognized by Government, the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), and a wide range of organizations as the lead UK trade association for nationally accredited third party certification bodies.

American Society for Quality
This is an important site for all quality professionals. You can order your copy of the ISO 9001:2008 Standard here.

BSI, Inc.
Check out the information at /Quality/index. There is some good information and articles including how to select a consultant. Also, BSI is a frequent provider of training courses internationally.

(DCI) is a global registrar for QHSE management system standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 50001/SEP, AS 9100, ISO 13485, TS 16949, Greenhouse Gas, and many others. DCI is a part of the DEKRA Group, one of the world’s largest certification, inspection, and testing organizations, with over 28,000 employees in over 50 countries across the world.

Exemplar Global

RABQSA International along with iNARTE merged in June 2012 and have become Exemplar Global. Exemplar Golbal offers personal certification and certified training.

International Organization for Standardization (IOS)
Home page for the International Organization for Standardization. This is the organization that promulgates the ISO standards. Check out their latest news.

Laboratory Accreditation Bureau
Check this website for more information about laboratory accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025.

Labcompliance is private organization that provides the regulated Bio/Pharmaceutical industry with information on how to improve quality and comply with FDA and other regulations. Starting from serving laboratories the scope has been expanded to other areas like manufacturing and office applications.

Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA)
LRQA is a certification body focused on improving performance and reducing risk. Offering certification for a number of standard schemes and international training programs. Visit LRQA and go to the publications page. This is one of the sites that we have found keeping current with their publications. The latest publications do a good job covering the Quality Management Principals, important reading if you are proceeding to implement ISO 9001:2008.

Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Homepage
‘1’ Stop portal website for ISO 9000 related issues, resources and on-line training

Quality Digest includes lists of available registrars, consultants, software companies and other assistance you may need.

RABSQA now operates the auditor certification and auditor training provider programs in the U.S.( RABQSA International along with iNARTE merged in June 2012 and have become Exemplar Global.
